| Warren Pryde first became involved
in the stainless steel industry in 1985. After completing an
apprenticeship with one of Australia’s leading stainless
steel fabricators he gained extensive experience in factory
and site installation as an onsite tradesman and later, as a
Project Supervisor. Charged with overseeing several comprehensive
projects including the initial Lang Park Re-development and
the new Brisbane International Airport he earned respect within
the industry for his dedication and hard work. It is these attributes
along with an insistence for maintaining high quality workmanship
with exceptional customer service that Warren instils into all
employees of Pryde Fabrication. |

While Pryde Fabrication’s initial focus was purely on the
site installation of stainless steel products, the company’s
commitment to quality workmanship and customer service promoted
steady growth. In 1997, industrial land with an existing factory
was purchased in Cleveland on Brisbane’s Bayside. A modern
workshop was established to provide stainless steel manufacture
and repair facilities. Workshop equipment was subsequently expanded
to provide facilities for the fabrication of mild steel and aluminium
in addition to the company’s core proficiency in stainless
steel.
In late 1998 the Street & Park Furniture division was formed
to satisfy bus shelter installation contracts throughout southeast
Queensland and in Sydney, New South Wales. While continuing to undertake
ongoing installation contracts with onsite personnel the division
was expanded to provide mechanical and electrical maintenance, advertising
copy and signage changes, and commercial cleaning of bus shelters
in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Townsville, Sydney and Canberra.
Pryde Fabrication’s growth continued and in 2000 a modest
premises was purchased in Clyde, Sydney to establish a definite
presence in New South Wales. In the same year additional land was
purchased adjacent to the original factory in Cleveland. By mid
2001 a purpose-built, fully equipped factory was completed and soon
developed into the company’s head office. Pryde Fabrication’s
progress in New South Wales flourished and in 2001 the company was
required to upgrade to larger premises, which led to the purchase
of an industrial building in the suburb of Rydalmere, Sydney. On
successfully completing all contracting obligations in New South
Wales in December 2006, the company took the opportunity and closed
its Rydalmere operation to consolidate and grow all manufacturing
divisions from the main operation in Queensland.
With a modern operational facility and state-of-the-art machinery
and equipment, Pryde Fabrication has been able to diversify into
new and exciting markets. While maintaining an extensive knowledge
base in metal fabrication the company currently focuses on four
key areas:
- Architectural & Metal Products
- Commercial Kitchens & Bars
- Street & Park Furniture
- CNC Technology
|
Commitment to each of these areas has ensured strong sales growth
since the company’s inception and has ensured that Pryde Fabrication
ultimately continues as a successful, customer orientated organisation.
